Default Brake pad kit came with 15 little clips. WTF ??

I have never seen this on any other car I have ever worked on.
Japanese, German, you name it.
What are these for?

No idea on the clips, but I suspect they're to prevent the grooving on the knuckle.

To jack the front end up, put a floor jack under the center of the front axle (just to the side of the diff) and jack it up and put the jack stands under the axle tube. Another option is to put the jack under the frame rails, one side at a time and then put the jack stands under the frame rail or under the axle tube.

Make sure to loosen your lug nuts up before jacking it up so that the wheel doesn't spin on you.

They are shims of varying thickness that can be placed on the ears/tabs of the brake pads to ensure that the brake pad can not wobble/play too much on the slide rails and possibly bind up. They may help reduce wear on the knuckle slide rails, but nothing in the brake package implies that. I have been using them in hopes that they will extend the life of the slide rails, but I have only had them in for a little less than 2 years, so I am not sure how much they are helping with wear until the next time I have it all apart to inspect.
