Default Radiator top hose - can I use screw clips (jubilee clips) instead?

Hi Folks,
I've traced the coolant leak in my 1996 4.0 to a small split in the radiator top hose and managed to remove it. I'm tempted to replace the clips with jubilee clips because I find them so much easier to deal with than the springy clips that Jeep use as stock. Is there any reason that I shouldn't?
thanks!

Do you mean the worm drive clamps? They are way better, i never liked the spring ones.

Yeah you'll be fine to change them. BUT, there is a tool that makes the spring clips extremely easy to use, easier than the screw style clamps actually.

Awesome, no more swearing at my pliers.... thanks guys. If there's a tool that makes the spring clips work well, great but I hate they way they spring and turn round so you can't get at them properly
www.jubileeclips.co.uk - are the ones.

To do a radiator job, would it be smart to get hose clamp removers like this?

Also, what about the tranny lines? Should I get both of these? What's the difference between these?

I just changed out all of mine because the one on the upper hose to the t-stat broke and caused a water leak.

Be aware, though, if you use the screw type clamps, they CAN rust...

True, I've ordered stainless. Hopefully they'll hang on!
