Default 2000 XJ Disc brake pad clips

Does anyone have a photo or image of how the clips attach to the pads. My old ones did not have them on and it is not obvious to me how they clip onto the pad. So far nothing in you-tube or my otherwise inadequate search attempts have helped. Thanks for any help.

Bimmer posted a picture in another thread. Jordan96xj uses them and they fit on the pad ears to (presumably) help avoid the knuckle rutting that's prevalent.

FWIW - I didn't use any in mine either.
