Default Replacement A/T Tires - will 235x75R15's fit stock XJ?

Am in the process of looking for replacement tires. Currently have 225x75R15's but it looks like this size in A/T's is no longer available. 215's and 235's are available. Am interested in the BFG All Terrain T/A in 235's but local tire shops either don't know or want to sell the 215's. Want to avoid any rubbing issues.

Thanks! One tire shop saw the tire sticker on the door, with indicated 215x75R15, and didn't want to go up in size.

yeah i understand the door plaque as i do that at walfart. I see that size in dextero but thats it but 235 will fit nicely and will give a better look imo..... *whispers* keep the white letters out. if all else fails on size issue id put the jeep on jackstands and take all 4 off and bring them in as carry ins no questions asked atleast at walmart.

I run all seasons on the family/wife’s XJ. They’re easy to find in 225. I’ve also noticed a lot of tires I can buy online but the local shop is unable to get them. I could be wrong but I thought i saw grabbers in that size before too.

My first XJ was rocking 235s on stock suspension. Even with horribly sagging rear springs, no rubbing at all.

Thanks all for the help! Will be getting the 235's this week and if I have any pushback, I will be taking EEVEE's advise and just bring in the wheels.
BTW: this is my two high schoolers ride; they wanted a lift kit and 30 something wheels. No lift kit but they are getting the 30 something wheels with these 235's!

High schoolers should not have a lift kit unless you want to be replacing a bunch of suspension components and u-joints.

235's are nice and look good.
