Transmission Help!

2WD? Output shaft seal, just remove the driveshaft and replace it.

Can't say for sure, but I'd guess it's for the 4WD switch/light on the transfer case. That's the only connector that would be in that area that isn't accounted for. You don't have a transfer case, but I bet the same wire harness is used either way.
