You've demonstrated lots of interest in working on your ride, but have serious gaps in your basic knowledge of terminology. Although there are some very helpful and knowledgeable ppl on this site, you should not rely on them to educate you on almost all aspects of the most elementary understanding of automotive technology. In other words, do some independent study on your hobby.

Once you have that understanding, you can get right to the point and spend less time exchanging posts and more time turning wrenches.
