Default transmission fluid leaking alot

Well, it was leaking both tranny fluid and oil, so i changed the rear main seal, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and that seams to have stopped the leaks up front from the oil, but the only thing still leaking is right above the crossmember below the tranny pan.

is this a seal i can change at home, or does it need to be taken to a shop (since the back cover of the tranny needs to be unbolted to get to this seal)

also, i changed the circle seal inside where the driveshaft goes into the tranny, so its not leaking there.

its a 93 cherokee sport 4.0L, 2wd, auto.

thanks!

Well, from what you say "below tranny pan and above cross member". I would say your tranny pan gasket that is leaking and yes, you can change that yourself. Just plan on getting a gasket, filter and fluid when you do it.

Yes the fluid, filter and gasket can be had at any auto parts store. The original fluid put into AW4 auto trannys was DEXRON II. I don't believe it can be had anymore so, you will have to Use DEXRON III or IV.
