Default Transmission fluid drain/fill

This is a very simple question: How many pints are needed for a simple drain and fill? How about the TC? I saw 4 pints in one place for AW4 but want to be sure.
Thanks.

The transfer case takes a little over one pint. I believe the FSM called for 1.1 liters. And a liter is very close to a pint. So you'll need 2 bottles for that.

As far as your tranny, I seem to remember reading 5 pints for a drain/refill with a filter change. Not positive on that though

No, you use gear oil in the tc. It's like 75-90

It calls for dexron. Gear oil is to thick for the oil pump to pick up.

This is a note I keep on my phone for memory purposes, it's right outta the owners manual

Jeep fluids

Oil 6 quarts 10-30 or 5-30
L14670 purolator filter

Trans. 4 quarts of dexIII- regular drain and full

Transfer case 2.2 pints( 1litre of trans fluid dexIII or ATF)

Axles sae 75-90 or 75-140 synthetic

Front 3pints or 1.5 liters
Rear 4.4 pints or 2.0 liters (c 8.25)

Coolant dry capacity is 4 gallons

And if I remember correctly I rounded up the trans amount so the 4q should be plenty.
