Default transfer case/transmission seperation

1995 auto trans need to seperate transfer case, all nuts and bolts are removed but it won't budge. Any suggestions.

I think you might have missed a nut on the bottom. I did the same thing, when I went back and removed it, it slid off like butter.

6 bolts, 4 nuts not sure which seam so I took all.

Either a bigger hammer or dynamite.

All kidding aside, if all bolts as noted above have been removed, you have something binding. Try wiggling the transfer case up & down and back & forth, while pulling & pushing.

The idea is not to let it hang by its weight unsupported. If you can get a floor jack that has wheels under it, put a 2 X 4 on the jack pad and take up the weight of the Xfer case. This might help get the bind out if that is what it is.

I'm just throwing out ideas/guesses here. Good luck. Let us know.

gave up for the night ill try again tomorrow. i dont get it we twicte and hammered and pryed and it jaust wont budge. i got it to crack alittle but as soon as i try and pry it just binds worse

I'll bet those two particular nuts are the strong ones that keep the Jeep from breaking in half.

Yea make sure you got them all. Then just keep working at it mine was a B!@#$ too. Air hammer works pretty good.
