Default Transfer case question SYE ????

ok I just noticed that i might already have a S.Y.E. on my T.C. but Im not sure is there any way of knowing with out opening it up. so i can just send back the one i just bought

That looks like a slip yoke to me. Not a sye.

umm ok how can you tell and whats the difference between a S.Y. and a S.Y.E.

Im guessing its to eliminate something

It would have a 2 piece driveshaft with the slip made into it for starters and the yoke would be bolted to the t case, not hanging half way out of the rear seal

fo sho thanks brothers lots of help ill go ahead with my original plans :-) lift 6", new drive shaft, and S.Y.E.
