Transfer case question
Hi all, I picked up a transfer case from a junk yard yesterday but just noticed today that there is some play in it when spinning the output shafts. I took a quick vid of it and am hoping someone can tell me if I should take this back and get another, or is it ok?

That's normal. Every transfer case I has came across, is like that. Even after putting new chains in. It's like the teeth moving slightly between the pins on the chain.
If it's a whole lot of play, then I'm pretty sure the chain is worn out, but it doesn't look like that in your video.

Thanks guys, I figured it was one of those two. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't too much. Guess I'll go ahead and put the transfer case in today.
