Default Transfer case NP231 seal. Help to dind it.

I need a help here.

I recently order from rockauto a set of TF Output Shaft Seal but the size doesn't fit. So i had to improvise temporary. But it get loose and the oil fall down.
Im atach the picture of it so you can see if it may be diferent from the "refular" NP231 TF.

If someone can giv me a clue where to find the correct set i apreciate.

Thank you all.
Alexis Prappas

Ps Happy 4th of july!!

Which seal did you buy?

TIMKEN Part # 710046 This one appears to be correct.

Here, if I had that problem I would take the old seal to a store that sells bearings, (maybe inquire at a local shop). You don't necessarily need a "Jeep", or "TC" seal. Just one that size.

This has come up before Btw.....

Oh, just wanted to mention....shade tree stuff! The ID of you seal needs to fit the shaft of course. For the OD, I have actually used tape! Once fairly successfully on a starter bushing.

A plumbers Teflon tape is very thin, once wrapped, and pressed in, it seems pretty good...later I bought the correct bushing, but since it works fine that way, the new bushing is still on a nail, waiting.....
