Default Transfer Case Drop help

how do i install it? the pieces i unscrew, ones a bolt the other is a nut, i dont have a inch to spare with the nut. what do i do?

You have to take the studs out of the threaded inserts in the unibody and replace both the studs and bolts with longer bolts.

If you are in an area like I am where they use lots of salt on the roads, I'd suggest using plenty of penetrating oil on both the bolts and studs for several days before you attempt removal.

yeah im gonna use a lot of pbblaster on them. how do i get the longer bolts in tho?

Once the stud is removed, it's just a threaded insert in the unibody like the other side with the bolt. Lower the crossmember down until you can slide the spacer in, then just thread the longer bolt through it all, and it will work like any other bolt.

alright i'll have to go get some longer bolts tomorrow cus most places are closed, thanks for the info

Did you buy the setup as a kit, or are you throwing together your own? Most should provide the hardware.

it came with my lift kit, ive had it for about a month but havent put it on yet.

If it came with your kit, there should be new bolts provided.
