Hi folks, just finishing up my AW4 and Transfer Case installation on my 99 cherokee automatic 4wd. One final question, I cannot recall where the transfer case breather hose exits. There is a small bracket with a hole that goes to a bolt somewhere. Can anyone remind me where that bolts to? Do you have a pic?
Thanks,
Andy

Firewall for TC, trans and front axle breathers, rear axle goes up into the body behind the the left rear wheel well.

As i Recll the TC vent valve bracket is attached to the trans dipstick tube mount bracket hole in the bellhousing. Can't recall because I trashed the bracket and extended the TC vent tube up to around the wiring harness against the firewall. Same thing with the AW4 vent tube.
I used a 5/16x5/16" brass barb couler and some 5/16" ID vacuum tube to extend the TC tube. Used a 1/4x1/4" brass barb coupler and 1/4" ID vacuum tube for the AW$ vent tube.

Thanks, but I think you mean the TC bracket location.Originally Posted by cruiser54

This is what the relocation looks like. The AW4 vent was retained and the original POS TC vent was replaced by a front differential vent fitting.

Where do you find/get your breather vents? I end up scavenging them from wrecks in the junk yard.Originally Posted by CCKen
