Trans fluid change

The "filter" is just a screen and was not designed to be replaced FWIW.

so what im gathering from reading this is to

1. drive it to get the trans fluid warm
2. remove the drain plug from the transmission pan
3. let old fluid drain out
4 put plug back in
5 pour new trans fluid in
6. drive for about a week
7. repeat process until its clean

now my question is if i drain the trans pan, how many quarts will i need roughly to get it back to normal

is it 4 quarts when you drain the pan?

3.8. Put 3 in and then use the dipstick and it's instructions to get to the Full mark.
