Nope. I couldn't get it to squeeze on this fitting good enough to release the line. So just unscrewed this nut and transfered the nut and plastic piece to the new line. I'll probably just keep the tool anyway...you can never have enough random tools for the XJ.

 

You try to put it on the outside of the nylon piece or the inside next to the tubing?

 

Inside next to the tubing and then tried to spread it. Was that right?

 

Nope. The key is to press the wings IN while pushing the tube in also. Once the wings click IN, the tube will just about fall out.

I just replaced my lower one this morning, with a water hose clamp and hose. Not really a fan of the lash up but cheaper than getting another one made.

 

Hi there, I guess this might be a silly question, but which line is the out line from the tranny to the cooler?
