Question Tranny cooler line connection

So I got a new radiator from an 87. The top tranny cooler line connection does not have a bolt to connect the hose to. It does however have threads on the inside where it looks like a hollow bolt is suppose to go. Am I suppose to just find the two way hollow bolt?

Did u get a new radiator for or from a '87? I believe '87 and '91 r 2 different styles/types.

Question

i got the radiator from an 87. well the jeep its goin in right now is an 88. So for the upper transmission cooler line connection there is no nipple for the hose to screw onto. Was the nipple/bolt on the transmission line that screws into the radiator? Do i just need to get that new upper hose?

It was from an automatic. I didnt feel like putting that fitting on and having to change the end of the transmission line to make the snap in connector work for the top. so i just ordered the right radiator. If you are gonna fix it, then fix it right eh? so my new radiator is gonna be here tommorow along with the lift. I also got a gorhino brushguard yesterday for 40 bucks!!!!! such a steal! now i just need a rack, bumpers, winch, and some bushwackers and i'll be a happy camper!

i did fix it. I got a new radiator. But the ftting on the new one, you can take that off. It would fit on the radiator i pulled from jalopy. And where the hose goes into the transmission i bought a new fitting. i bought a bolt with the fittings in it. I unbolted the old one and put the new fitting in. Like new again!

Where and what type of fitting? I have tried multipul fittings from autoparts stores, home stores, and plumbing stores... The threading has to be some weird metric tap because no standard barbed fitting will thread into that upper port...

Maybe I should clarify here.

I can't locate the double threaded brass fitting that goes inbetween the upper tranny cooler line and the radiator. My cooler line split and broke when I removed my radiator and to fix it I got some high pressure high heat 3/8 hose put a worm clamp around the broken cooler line and need some way to connect the other end of my hose to the radiator...
