track bar questions
So I am pretty sure that my track bar is worn out. Can i replace the stock bushing and the rod end with something so I don't have to get a new track bar?
I do plan on doing a 3 inch lift in the next 2 months but i was gonna drill out a new hole in the mount and just move it over.

ok. i would get a new one but I'm on a college student budget and can't afford it. I do plan on getting an adjustable one in the future.

Forgive me if im wrong, been a while since I had a stock track bar. But I am pretty sure it is all one piece, meaning I dont think you can replace the tre on it, but I do belive you can replace the bushing

you can buy a new bushing for the axle end, but the tie rod end is not servicable....you have to buy a new track bar to replace that.
you need a press to get the old bushing out and a new one in. chances are if the axle end is toast, so is the "frame side", as they tend to wear faster.
you'd be better off saving for an adj one with the price of labor to get your bushing replaced.
as a wise old man once told me, "if you cant afford to do it right the first time, how are you gonna pay for it twice?"

I have a total of $25 into the lift. I am trying to find a fix that would allow me to safely drive on the freeway again. Since it looks like I can't do it easily, i'll get the adjustable one. thanks to everyone who added useful information.
