Default What kind of shocks- Rancho or Monroe

I need new shocks for my stock xj. I will be putting in new leaf springs and I thought I would do the shocks at the same time. I don't want to spend alot. The most I would spend is bout 35 per shock. I need to know if it's worth buying ranchos or should I just go with like monroes or something similar.

Thanks

Rancho is great for lifted vehicle with the added weight of bigger tires and stuff but Monroe is the leader in stock shock tech IMO. I know some will side with rancho. but again this is my opinion

I like the Monroes over Ranchos. Ranchos seem OK for running down washboard roads where you get a lot of fast bumps but overall I'll stay with my Monroes.
