Hey guys, i just bought my first vehicle an 89 jeep cherokee...

Its already got a bit of a lift kit in it but im not too mechanicaly inclined.. i know a bit of the basics but like i said its my first vehicle..

The first day i had it i went to turn out of my parking spot and the track bar snapped in half were it meets up with the ball joint, and i went and got a new ball joint and track bar, but the old track bar and ball joint almost have like an extension on it, so the ball joint goes all the way into the track bar.

Im so confused, i went and bought a new one but it still wont fit... any suggestions? I can throw pictures up if the need be..

That was an adjustable track bar. How much lift does your jeep have on it?

 

i'l post some pics up im not sure how big in total i think 6 and a half inches

 

then yeah, a stock track bar is not going to be long enough. rough country has a nice adjustable track bar for not too much.
