Default Track Bar Mount

I recently had a new track bar installed by a local shop and there looks to be a small gap between the front of the bushing and the housing where it mounts to the frame. Is that normal or should there be a washer in there?

If your talking about the rubber bushing that's inbetween the frame mount and the ball joint part, yes Its normal to have a gap there.

I'm sure a little bit of gap is ok. I just checked mine and I had a tiny bit, but it was dirty. Just make sure there isnt any odd play in it and the bolt is ok, and you should be good.

Ok...i think there's about a 1/8" gap towards the front. The bolt is a M10 x 1.5 60mm.

The reason I was asking the question is that I heard some clunking up front but only initially when I started to drive then it would go away. Only when it's cold out though. Everything up front is new except for the ball joints and there's no play in them.

Just give everything a nice shake and if it isnt solid, look at it a bit closer. You can jack it up and have someone move the wheel while you inspect it as well, in case it is steering related. While you have it jacked up, grap the top and bottom of each wheel and see if it has any back and forth play to make sure the hub assembly/ujoints are ok.

Axle ujoints are new too. I gave everything a good shake with it jacked up by the axle, but I'll have someone turn the wheel for me and do the same. I hope one of those axle u joints weren't bad. I don't want to have to go through that one again.

I'm not suggesting anything is wrong, but that is just ways you can check yourself if you question a sound. I know every sound on mine, and most are just normal and don't require a fix lol
