You fail at reading comprehension. Nice way to insult a mod.

I have the full app and love it. I bought a cheap scanner from ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/ELM327-V1-5-Interface-Bluetooth-OBD-2-OBD-II-Car-Diagnostic-Auto-Scanner-8341-/400527681987?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d414f69c3 have had mine for a year or so and still works perfect. Don't try to use the scanner with any apple products they wont pair....

I bought the ELM327 off ebay, and got the full app. I think it works great, I can even read data on my 07 F250 Super Duty w/ the Powerstroke the cheap OBDII scanners at the parts stores wont even link to that truck.

That's the one I got from Amazon. The ELM 327.

I've used int on 4 or so cars with good results.

I bought that same adapter off Amazon and I got mine for $12.50. It came with a disk that had several versions of the program for the computer. I went ahead and bought the Torque Pro app for my Android for convenience. It's just a basic scanner but it works for what I need it for.
