Too much coolant? Answer asap plz
I just add more coolant/water mixture on my 89 jeep and there is little bit more in the reservoir cap than (I think?) there should be. I am nervous if I go start the jeep I may bust something, Does anyone have a picture for the 89+ cherokees that can show me where my coolant line should be? I am going into work today and I wont be off till saturday so I cannot do full flush. My jeep has been overheating and I am sure I need to do full flush (even though I did one in September of 2010)

you have a closed (pressurized) system. The level in the reservoir should be around 1/2 full.
You may be overheating due to the system not building enough pressure. Try getting a new pressure cap. Go to Napa and get a new rezzy cap from a Volvo. Part # 703-1396. It will grip the threads on the rezzy neck better, hold higher pressure, and not rub the underside of your hood when the rezzy expands.
