Default Tires Question

I need 4 new brand new tires for my 2000 jeep cherokee sport. The truck is NOT lifted. I have 225-75-15 tires on there and the guy at pepboys told me I could easily put 235-75-15's on it. Has anybody ever experienced or heard of rubbing with the bigger tire or is it ok to put on the 235's? Thanks

I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport. It has BFG All Terrain T/A KO 235/75/15 tires on it and they don't rub at all anywhere.

It also depends on what your trying to accomplish, whether your going to cut fenders and such (no limits then.)

Got 235s on my 95. No problems. No rubbing. Pep Boys is definitely trying to up-sell you. But I would go for it. Bigger is always better.

As long as the topic is up, what is the max tire size i can put on my non-lifted 89 XJ. The manual says P215/75 15, which is what i have now, would like to go to 225's.

235's won't rub and sometimes you can get away with a 30x9.5. Just depends on the Jeep.
