Question Time to upgrade front axle

Ok My D35 is on it's last leg. From what I've been reading a D30 from a Grand Cherokee would be a good upgrade because they have beefy U-joints and such. But one thing I couldint seem to find is what year would be the best and have a high pinion.

Cherokee's 96+ as long as its high pinion it should have the larger u-joints on the axle shafts. Not sure on the grands though.

no you have a vacuum disconnect dana 30, not a dana 35. done deal. if you swap in a high pinion dana 30 non disco your golden as long as your gears match front and rear.

So basically the 94 donor I have with the non disco should be good. That would be sweet cuz then I don't have to buy one. except the gears because I have 3.73 right now but I think it might not go well with 36's

ok my donor is a 94 with a auto and the rear dosint look the same as my 88 maybe I'll use that once I find out what it is. I'm not a differential expert. But What if build trusses on the top tubes That should beef em up a lot.
