Time for a new radiator
Time for a new radiator in my 01. What are you guys finding to be the best replacement? I’d like some better cooling. I plan on adding a trans cooler at the same time. I’ve read all the mixed reviews on all aluminum vs others etc. wanting some real world feedback. Thx

go on amazon and by the stock one core radiator thats my advice. cost 50-60$
i have this one and it works perfectly for over a year now. I can even drive in 95 degrees Fahrenheit whether with a trailer.
do a total flush and put hoat coolant in it. 50/50. 195 fahrenheit thermostat. =zero temperature problems .
the aftermarket radiator have a bad reputasjon and often get crack around the aluminium welds. aluminium is very hard to veld properly so it last.
I know someone that did by the flex-a-lite radiator setup with fans and everything guess what happend on the trail ? overheated constantly and had to put all the stock cooling parts back on. did never overheat after that. build was 8 inch lift 37 or 38 inch tires.
my point is if your engine is healthy the stock coolant setup works.

glad I can help.
don't know how the weather is where you live but if its gets cold in the winter. I recommend a oil thermostat after the stock cooler/heat exchanger(radiator) this means your transmission gets up to temperature in the winter times as well. and if you choose to do this mount the oil cooler in front of the clutch fan so you get the best cooling when you need it.
the oil thermostat lets 10% of the oil to circulate before the oil reaches the correct temperature. it does this so the transmission don't get pressure problems when the thermostat opens.
I use derale oil thermostat 180 fahrenheit. 45$ on ebay. worth it if it gets cold in winter.
before I install this thermostat my transmission did struggle to shift gears correctly especially the overdrive
