Yea if its a lower end knock, it is a serious issue. Im hoping cruiser will chime in here, probably has a better recognition of sounds than i.

Sounds light like valve train.

Not loud near the valve cover?

Comes and goes, right?

Hmm ok thanks.
I wonder though, since the tick comes from under the Jeep.
If I open the hood, i can barely hear it.. Damn jeep.

However, yesterday I did put some STP cleaner of some sort. A new kind but expensive. Didn't make a difference last night but I just took a detour to work so that the engine would get up to work temp.
No tick when I parked at work. Going for a longer drive after work so we'll see if that did the trick!

Edit: the tick cannot come from the engine. Just had the hood open as it ticked and its something low or under the car/engine.
At least that's my qualified guess

Took another video + one more.
http://youtu.be/29UbUegj1EE
From the inside, with the door a bit open, at idle.

Outside, hood open.
Not sure you can hear it but it does not come from the engine..
Even had a mechanic listen to it today and he agrees, not the engine..

Start your Jeep and then set your camera down where the tick is loudest and start it recording. Then get back in the Jeep and rev the engine just a little - tap the gas pedal a few times and let it idle back down between taps.
In my experience;
1. A rod knock should be evident since it gets louder as well as faster on the rev up cycle while quieting some on the down rev.
2. A lifter will just tick faster without getting much louder.

If you watch my first video, posted yesterday, the tick is pretty fast but it doesn't get any louder.

I had it inspected today and it seems to increase in frequency as it revs up. But not in volume.
