Default Thumping & Pulling Left

I am new to the cherokee forums and have a couple of problems on my 2000 Cherokee sport with no lift and 115K on the body. I recently blew my engine and had a new long block put in. Recently there has been some thumping right under my feet and seems to happen when I start taking off or when I hit a certain speed roughly around 30-45mph and cant figure out what can be causing that. About 2 weeks ago my jeep started pulling to the left as I am driving on the highway or at a speed of 45-50 mph it does not pull to hard but enough for me to notice. I have recently changed the brakes in the front and bleeded the brake system. Any help would be great before I take it to a 4x4 shop.

Welcome to the XJ forum. first thing sounds like your out of alignment or you have worn front end issues. The bumping noise next to your right foot maybe a worn upper control arm bushing. Let me know what your mechanic finds.

Is that an easy fix, I am use to working on import/domestic cars and now trying to learn how to work on my Jeep.

It's really not that difficult. Be prepared to be frustrated once you get the half-shaft out and start trying to get the U-joint out.

Yeah changing the ujoints on the front DS was a pain for me. Also had to replace the centering yoke. Just tedious and so on.

Ok I took my Jeep in for an alignment and I was told that I should be pulling to my right with what the alignment machine is showing, so I got the alignment and was told to rotate my tires front to back no biggie. Then I was told that my U-joint is going out and my track bar needs to be fixed because it is a bit loose. They priced me $195 to repair the U-joint. Now that I got my alignment I am hearing more poping when I turn. One thing after another.

the popping when u turn could be the ball joints either upper or lower on the corisponding side
