If u test that murray? stat, u can confirm whether the stat is bad or the gauge is wrong.

Hey, I resemble that and at my age quite often.

The marks on the old style gauge mathematically are the same as the marks on the new style gauge. The new style gauge just has 4 more marks .....127.5F, 182.5F, 222.5F and 247.5F.

Got my dealer stat today. There was a part number change I think it said on the receipt..I'll post it up after I get home. But it had motorad stamped on it and a little air bleeder.
This was nice to see all day. Stayed right where it should have

Lol I was a little concerned about the 27$ price tag at first but it was definitely worth it
