If it had one, you were supposed to mount it at 12 o'clock......

Well I don't know what one is and it gave no description of having one. I'm guessing it doesn't have one.

If you didn't see it, I'm assuming it had none, and you've got the standard MotoRad stat. Keep us up to snuff on how it works.

Cool. I will report if there are issues. FYI I didn't notice any notches or anything that could distinguish one end of the circle from the other.

I'd suggest one from the dealer. One time and you're good to go.
I wish that had been true in my case, $25 freak bucks I spent for the mopar dealer t-stat about one and a half years ago and I just had to swap it out because it was starting to crap out on me. I only had at most 10k miles on it

Do you mean that it hits operating temp in 3 minutes or 30 minutes?

I've had a 195* Stant Superstat since summer and it locks in at 210* after about 4 to 6 minutes and stays there until I turn the engine off.

Just curious because this is the first stat I've had for the 4.0 with this stability.

Yes. It hit 210* and remained there for entire drive

Thanks and that is interesting in that I've never had a thermostat for the '93 do that before now.

Also, curious about how long it takes to get to 210* -- did you mean 30 minutes which seems like an unusually long time.

I'm still puzzled why they run 210 with a 195 in cool/cold weather.

Not to steal, but ive had the same problem. never gets above around 120-130. Ive replaced the t-stat(got it from the dealer) coolant temp switch and the one for the gauge on top of the head( cant remember what its called). Still reading low, also getting luke warm heat at best. Flushed the system with no results.

Yep, presuming all cooling system components are in good condition, why would it run 210 this time of year?
