Default Thermostat

I have a 94 Cherokee 4.0 and I was wondering if anyone knew another vehicle thermostat that would work. I want a low temp like 165-180 all the auto parts places only have 195 replacements.

Look online. And why would you want to run lower? The thermostat and motor were developed to operate at the given temperatures from alot of R&D.

No it's not I just want to run a little lower temp. No overheating issues anymore. I took off my radiator and cleaned that nasty thing out then tested the brand new 195 tstat that I put in it and it was a piece of crap. I just want my thermostat to open up at like 180 and I found one at Autozone

I am running a 180 degree from napa. The temp never goes over 210. Driving in town it stays around 200

I got a 180° t-stat from Advance. Runs around 180-190 around town, and love it.

Me too. But mine is worn out. Still does not overheat. I have a three row radiator as well. That's what solved my overheating problem in the first place.

I went to radiatorbarn.com or something like that. They told me a local shop where I could get a 3 row csf radiator and the listed price was only 100 bucks. The shop told me 220 but they had to sell it to me for 100 since they were featured on radiator barn. They weren't too happy

Just go on the Advance Auto website and it will show you the 3-4 different temp thermostats that will fit in the 94 XJ.
