I cant figure out how to release belt tension, i have an 88 4.0 but really need to get it off, i have searched many times but it never seems to match mine.
thanks for the help

I know 100% with early-mid 90's XJ's you had to remove the power steering pump

under the power steering pump theres a slide on the air cleaner side of the pump is the adjusting bolt ps pump bolts must be loosened so it will move

^^^ this guy has a better answer I actually was looking for how to adjust mine because mine is a little squeaky and I forgot where the subscribe button was so I just put in my .02

Oh yea, they do have the slide/adjustment bolt. I upgraded to 2001 intake/ps pump so i dont have to deal with that crap anymore
