I just noticed that my temp sending sensor is broke off on my 95,the one on the head on the drivers side rear.I have a aftermarket temp gauge I just installed with a T fitting in the t-stat housing, but my question is does this sensor have anything to do with fuel & air mix or anything?or does it just trip the temp light?(light type cluster not gauge)I think just the one in the t-stat housing effects the way it runs right? Thanks in advance guys just dont want to worry about it on the trail.

The O2 sensor in the exhaust has more to do with fuel/air mix and how the motor runs. On a '95 the coolant temp sensor in the t-stat cover signals the ECU, coolant temp sending unit in the head signals the temp gauge/light.
