Tank drop! HELP

I have to do a tank swap on my 91 cherokee and I have gas tank from a 99 cherokee. I was wondering if I could do a swap on the 2? Any help or ideas will work.

96 and up have a different fuel system, so you'd basically have to redo everything up to the rail. 97 and up also use a different (plastic) fuel tank so you'd need a good skid plate and I think it mounts differently too.
