My engine can turn over from about 6-10 times before it starts sometimes. Thought it might be my fuel pump so i checked out my pressure and its running at 45-47 psi. Of course my jeep didnt start til the pressure got to about 40 so maybe its slow at building pressure?

Turn the key on, wait 3seconds, off, on, off, on, crank.... see if that makes it fire right up, could be Check valve

Replace the whole fuel pump assembly. It's either a fuel pump or check valve issue. I had the same problem, got a used unit from a wrecked but running Cherokee and it runs like a champ now.

Maybe the check valve in the pump is #1. Also the injectors and the fuel pressure regulator hold pressure.

Why are you putting basil in your fuel pump?
