Default Tailpipe spraying something on the ground?

I've noticed lately that anywhere I stop for more than a minute the XJ will leave a spot right under the tailpipe. I would expect this when its cold, but it seems to do it all the time, even when its warmed up. When I smelled the spot, it seemed to just be water, but I haven't been losing any coolant at all. Is it maybe just something to do with the recent cold temps and I'm overreacting?

Have you tasted it to verify it's just water?

There's more than one of us with a sick sense of humor, I see!! LOL.

Reminds me of the old Cheech and Chong routine about the Russian soldiers encountering the pile of dog crap, and their superior officer making them verify that it is indeed dog crap, of course by tasting it!!! Am I dating myself? I saw them in person twice.

I actually did take one of the cups from the kitchen and hold it up to the tailpipe to try to catch some of the condensation (girlfriend was pissed about that one haha)

you'd be surprised at how much water comes out of a tailpipe. Next time your in traffic look at all the pipes around you dripping.

is that scientific lol?

Condensation will vary based on exhaust temperatures and outdoor temperatures/humidity.

Mine drips almost no water if I am running E0 gas. Ethanol attracts water into gas. This morning it was spraying so much, under the pipe was a circle of ice and frost about 3 feet around
