Looking for tail light guards and splash guards for a 2000 XJ. Anyone here getting rid of theirs or know where I can find them? Google isn't that helpful with these. Thanks!

This is one of those things where persistence pays off. How do I know? Because over time I have managed to source these parts for my '00. Check Craigslist in surrounding states. Keep on top of it. You would be surprised that people will be willing to ship. Most seem to have a PayPal account too. Before I got one I used to send out USPS Money Orders. Never had a problem. Scored some good deals too. Same with Ebay. Do a more general search just using jeep in the auto parts section. Been kinda sucking wind lately, lots of not even close to Jeep stuff has been coming up, but for a nationwide search try here:
Also look at Jeeps for sale. You might see them on a whole Jeep and there is always an outside chance that the owner might part with them separately. Sooner or later you will find these parts.
Might or might not still be around. Maybe he will ship. I have found that people are willing to work with you most of the time. Like I said persistence can be pay off.
Wow. Not sure I'd pay over $200 for these things.... but to be honest, my plan was to rattle-can some of the bedliner that I have leftover on these when I get a chance. The rears were a bit faded compared to the fronts. It's on the list!

I used to run all 4. Then scored some factory running boards. So now I just run the rears. Thinking I paid $50 for mine about 4 years ago local to me off Craigslist. Just wanted to show off a little. Hey I just noticed we run the same tail lights. What are you using for bulbs in there?

Clean! And awesome score on the running boards, I came across those on a google image search a little while back, for some reason I felt like they would be tougher to find than to just buy some cheap nerf bars on eBay lol. And for the tails I just picked up some amber bulbs at AutoZone. I dealt with chrome bulbs the last time I threw clear/red tails on my bimmer years ago...one went bad not long after installing them and I was too pissed to get another pack so I just replaced them with amber bulbs at the time too.

I run the white lights up front too. The amber bulbs show more through them then in the back. I was told about those chrome/stealth bulbs but nobody seems to really like them so I decided not to bother. Just got a shipment of LED's for all the lights. These type.

Going to give them a try. See what happens. Here is a shot how the amber bulbs show through my front white lenses.
Nice I'll have to give those a look sometime. I have the same egg-yolk appearance with my front and side turn signals. Somewhat undoes the clear lens look but still better than the stock amber lens. Let me know how the LED bulbs work out/look like!
So here are some before and after shots. There is a problem with the LED 194's in the side markers. I can not use the LED 194's in the sides. Polarity changes depending on what you are doing. I am talking about polarity in the harness of the Jeep. Know how LED's have polarity. Well if you put it in one way it will light when you turn on your headlights. The blinkers will work when your headlights are on. But if your headlights are off the blinker will not work. If you rotate the 194 it will not go on when you turn on your headlights. Won't blink when your headlights are on. Will blink if the headlights are off. We checked with a meter and could see how it would be a positive number with one scenario and a negative with another when we had the probes in the 194 connector. My buddy who is pretty good with electrical was going over the wiring diagram in my FSM and is pretty sure that is the case. Now with a regular 194 it does not matter. But since LED's have polarity it matters. So the money I spent on those LED 194's was a waste. Now to be clear this is just with the 194's. All the other 3157's I used for blinkers, reverse lights, tail and stop lights work great. Well they worked great after I replaced the flasher. Cause I had the hyperflashing issue. EP27L at Napa was the flasher I used
Come to find out there is something called non polarized or switchback LED's This would solve the problem of being able to use LED 194's instead of regular ones supposedly. It got darker so I went to play with it and found other problems. I believe that the regular 194 bulbs are not as bright as they normally would be with regular bulbs and flasher. Also when I turn on my headlights both turn signal indicators now glow. Not real bright but definitely noticeable. But when you turn on the turn signals they are as bright as they normally would be. It appears that the turn signals glowing when the headlights are on is just something you have to live with. Still researching what my options might be.
