my 88 xj is a standard, and being new to driving manual id like to have a tachometer. i realize ill probably end up having to replace the cluster, but is there a way to put a tachometer in the stock cluster? (and get rid of the worlds largest fuel gauge for a smaller one while im at it) if there is no way, then what year and type of jeep could i get the cluster out of?

so that will work? because ironically enough, i took the tach and fuel gauge from an 89 but didnt realize at the time that the whole cluster needs to be replaced.

i would think but you need to do the whole cluster and if you had idiot lights before for temp oil and volts you have to change the sensors also from the donor vechicle
