T-Case swap

no i dont use it alot but there is something causing a grinding sound when the 231 is put into 4wheel anything. the guy im getting the jeep from says that it sounds like its comming from the front end but it only does it in 4 wheel.
On second thought do the the 93 5 speed xj's have vaccum disco's on them??? if so im wondering if that could be the cause

ok so by looking at these 2 websites I think i under stand that they are interchangable but it will reverse the shifter also the front output yoke is different.
someone check them out and correct me if i am wrong please

he may have gotten the new tc from a dodge
and yes it could have a different front yoke
but you should be able to swap them also

I was thinking the same thing about the yokes but wasnt for sure. While tearing into a t case what do HAVE to buy to put it back together right. I mean is there any like seals or gaskets that HAVE to be replaced once removed???
