switching from conventional to syn-blend
are there any negatives to doing this
I changed my oil about 500 miles ago, from high mileage 10w30 conventional
to 10w30 syn blend
only thing was i had a slight tick in the motor,, so i did 5 quarts of syn blend and 1 quart MMO
well the tick is gone...so im going to drain it again and go with syn blend again of course
any downfall to it....i did notice my oil pressure was lower than normal..25 psi at warm idle..
I think its b.c of the MMO making it thin....
thoughts on syn blend vs conventional?
Jeep has 127k on it...runs like a top

You can switch without issue.
With only 127k (it's barely broken in!), personally I think conventional oil is just fine. I'm not a big fan of the "synthetic blend". I either run conventional (in my XJ) or synthetic (in the Vette).
I'm at 160k on my 99 4.0 and it only burns about 1/3 of a quart between oil changes every 4-5k using conventional Havoline.
