Sway bar question
I bought a jeep that didn't have the sway bars connected. I have the sway bars but don't have the bolts to connect the front or rear sway bars. I've searched but can't find exactly what I need to get to connect them and where to get the bolts. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Here's some parts catalog pics of the 95 front and rear suspension parts.
The size of the sway bar clamp bolts (front and rear) are not shown, but I'm sure they're the same as my '99. The original bolts have a captive free spinning washer. My '99 uses Class 10.9 M10-1.50x25mm bolts. I used flange head bolts with a flat washer under the flange head as a bearing surface of the bolt head.
Class 10.9 M10-1.50x25mm flange head bolts can be found at Ace hardware or other good hardware stores, or from Fastenal.
Not sure where you could find the clamps. Junk yard or the dealer.
For the sway bar bushings, you can get them from your local auto parts stores. You'll have to measure the outside diameter of the sway bar to select the proper bushing - probably 26 mm, but you should check.
The sway bar links can be purchased at the local auto parts stores as well.
The images are a bit blurry so you enlarge them by depressing and holding your "Ctrl" key on your keyboard while tapping the + key.

There is no reason to reconnect the rear sway bars just remove them completely, some of the XJ's came that way from the factory. As for the front you gave us no information on the Jeep, what you may need are SB disconnects depending on use and lift.

It's a 95 Cherokee sport. I have driven it for over a year without the sway bars. I am trying to put them back on now because I am selling the jeep.
