Default Swapping 89 Renix block with 98 ho block

My motor seized up on tuesday and since then I have been trying to get info on what blocks will bolt into my 89.

So here is what I have gathered so far please let me know if this is accurate.

It seems to me I can use any 4.0 jeep block and and bolt all my Renix motor accesories on change the fly wheel and presto I should be good to go. Is this accurate? I know I may have to modify the motor mounts as well.

Will the HO head work with the Renix intake?

Its hard to find much accurate info on this and I could really use some first hand knowledge on the subject.

THANKS!

I am running a HO head and all of my Renix stuff on my 88. A bunch of people say it can't be done but I did it and it runs good, best that its ran since I got it about 5 yrs. ago.

The ports are different on the Renix and H.O. head and intake. You can get it the engine to run with the mismatched head and intake but it will not perform as well as it should. Both performance and fuel mileage may suffer. If the head on you Renix engine is not damaged then swap it over to the H.O. block

run a HO motor... head and all... use all the renix stuff on the left side of the motor... ac and all that... on the right side use the newer powersteering pump intake(if ur gona buy one get a 99+) and exhaust... then use a 94ish throttle body... or a throttle body that has the same MAP sensor that the renix does... mine came from a 94... then splice in the TPS sensor... theres only 3 wires... middle to middle and then swap the two outsides till it runs right... also swap in a 94ish fuel lines, throttle cable, and fuel rail... now u can run neon/5.0 injectors and you got the same setup i got... a renix jeep with HO motor on the cheap side without rewiring the whole dang jeep... dont have to break into the AC or anything like that... got questions... ask me... lol... i found out my "HO swap" was just a ho motor with renix crap on it and nothing truely lined up long after i got the jeep... but at the time i didnt know anything about jeeps hardly lol
