It sounds like you have all the stuff needed to make it go,have you checked timing?is it correct? It does not have to be off by much.

Is the ignition coil and distributor new? If you are not getting strong spark one of those maybe on the way out. Can you smell the fuel when trying to start it?

You sound like you have your back against a wall here. You have comp, fuel pressure and spark. Pull #1 plug and place a rag in it with a screw driver, make sure it is tight, just in the spark plug hole not in the cylinder, just tap your ign enough to bump the motor until the rag pops out, then look at your hormonic balancer and make sure you are at top dead center, tdc, the pointer should be at 0,if not put it there.then make sure your rotor is pointing at #1 on the dist cap. it only has to be off a small amount to not run. All it takes is fuel, comp.spark and timing. I hope this helps,I have no idea what your level of ability is.

Are the computer and sensors New, from your blown motor or the donor? Is the donor same year as your rig?

I tried that and nothing . I dont think the fuel is igniting cause it wont backfire or anything. But it does turn over strong.

You say you have spark,so I doubt you forgot to hook up your cps,I am assuming you have an automatic,if so are you using the same flexplate as before?

im in the same boots as you op. try the crankshaft position sensor. test the coil, and make sure youre sparkin. check the firing order. check the rotor + cap. check the throttle position sensor. no pop is no fun eh?

edit:
spoke too soon, if timing light lights up you got spark. like previous might not be strong enough to start it.

try unplugging and re plugging the cps harness. heard this helps!

flexplate on an automatic is the flywheel,if you have an automatic,it is a flexplate,if you have a manual trany it will be a flywheel. Both ar attached directly to the crankshaft. The reason I asked if you were using your old flexplate is,I bought a 91 motor and put in my 89,it would not run, because the flexplate on the 91 is different than the 89,my cps did not like that so out came the trany an replaced the flexplate with mine.
