4. Boot on Track Bar looks torn (Track Bar to Frame end)
5. Springs have the spacer clip (springs likely have sagged and this is some attempt to make them longer or return to factory height either its a BS attempt to fix)
6. Shocks look like they are too long and incorrect for your application. Also Rancho Shocks could very well be worn out in 2-3 years a better bet for replacement would be a decent Monroe shock
7. All steering parts look original and could be at or are past their useful / functional lifespan
8. Not visible from your pictures the control arm bushings could be at the end of their lifespan and should be inspected or replaced.

Your 2 wheel drive XJ probably does not need HD front springs, standard replacement springs from Dorman or Moog would be more than capable.
All of this, with an emphasis on #6. They're way too long and can't travel properly. Also white body shocks like those are garbage, and as stated wear quickly.

I wander if my mechanic was aware of any of that, he just put the shocks about 3 years ago.
Having said that, where can I take my Jeep to have this front end overhaul done, and is it worth it?
Where do I get those parts as well?

Thanks,

If your mechanic put those on, then yeah, find a new mechanic. A competent mechanic would have seen an issue immediately.

All the parts can be had at most any parts store, like Napa, O'Reillys, etc, or online from any number of places, rockauto, ebay,Amazon, etc.

Trying to get shocks, but the description of 0-4" and 2-3" lifts etc confuses me. As far as I know I have a stock XJ but you mentioned: "Originally Posted by 4.3L XJ

What is "the flare" or "the crease in the fender"?

Flare is that piece of plastic in the fender opening. If missing, use the bend in the sheet metal above it

It is 18" from the center of the wheel hub to the flare in front; 16.5 " at the rear...! So I guess now I can order the shocks 0-4" lift ...I guess if it starts with "0" is ok...!

Looks like you may not have any lift at all, but maybe that is the up country package which is a 1" lift. The rear has sagged, typical of just about everyones. I tink you could just get stock shocks

If my rear has sagged I guess the measurement should be 17"? How can I make it leveled? I am having trouble choosing leaf springs on Amazon , so if I just get the springs for the front and the 0-4" shocks, what shocks should I get for the rear to have the vehicle level?
Thanks,

I think it is just best to replace them. Just use standard duty springs

Well for father's day my kids gave me everything here, from Amazon and it raised the Jeep I think 2-3 inches...hhhmmmnnnn. My mechanic wasn't sure if I was going to like it and I was ready to scream until I saw it, it doesn't looked too raised and it handles much better with no bottoming out like before. The parts were sold as "standard"...!
