n00b question
This seems like a dumb question but I'll go ahead
I recently replaced the headlight switch in my 89 Cherokee Limited and have noticed that after turning the lights off they stay illuminated for about 30 seconds, then go out (the headlights only, nothing else). They did not do this before replacing the switch.
Is this normal? At first I thought the new switch was broken but it does it everytime like clock work. I searched but didn't see anything about an 89 cherokee having a headlight timer or whatever.
I was thinking maybe a relay is sticking?
Thanks.
EDIT: I just checked and they only do this if the truck is shut off before the headlights. If the truck is running the lights turn on/off as normal. So I'm guessing there is some sort of timer?
