Default Hot engine update and gas tank question.

I posted about a 1992 cherokee larado overheating and took your advice. Replaced water pump and radiator and removed the winch and replaced thermostat with 195. Much better. Drove a 40 mile round trip with ac on and it never got above middle(top) line. This afternoon it's a little hotter, 90 or so outside and it got between the top and third line. Is this normal and I'm paranoid or is there still an issue?

Secondly I went to pump gas and it appeared to be vapor locked. Couldn't get gas in, the cap hissed A-LOT when opened, and a weird humming sound was coming from the back. I took it home and let it cool off and tried again. Same without hiss or hum. I let the gas run very slow until about two gallons got in then it was ok to go full on. What's going on???
