Are these supposed to look like this the top is drivers side and the bottom is passenger side.......

your missing the rubber. Thats your bump stop. It should have like a rubber ballish at the end. You can see its broke off in one of the pics.

good? bad? easy to replace and would this explain the loud thump when trail riding and it drops off quickly

ha, Those are easy to replace and also very cheap. You might have a bit of a time getting that broke one out though since there isnt much to get ahold of. I guess if you are out wheeling and you reach the point of hitting the bump stop, it would make a bang or such since there is no rubber for isolation. It is metal on metal.

super easy, twist and pull the old ones out, and twist and shove the new ones in.

only trouble you will run into is getting a good angle on the old ones since they are half gone and dealing with the coil spring in the way

YA there are not bad just have to get your fingers in there. lol unless you have a coil spring compressor. lol but ya I would just get some new ones and put them in.

You could just go to the junk yard, or else most places online sell them for like 3-5 bucks each or so. Quadratec is where I usually order stuff from
