sway bar bolts stuck..ugh

Default sway bar bolts stuck..ugh

so i installed my RE lift yesterday and got everything done, just need to bleed the brakes, except for one thing. my kit came with gen 2 sway bar disco's and to install them i need to remove the bolt out of the sway bar brackets on the axle tubes, but i cant get the bolt out!! i got the sleeves that were seized on the bolt off, but cant get the bolt to come out...even after beatin on it with a BFH..what do i do!?!?!

I just went through this on my XJ, the bolts are pressed in I used an air hammer to beat them out. if you don't have on you could probably use a C-clamp and a big deep socket to press them out. a ball joint press would work too.

Boy, I had to soak mine for three days in penetrating oil, used an air hammer with pickle fork on the upper side, heated the bolt with propane torch and beat on the bolt end with a 4-lb hammer. I didn't think I'd ever get it, but it finally popped free.

See if you can use the stock bolts...if not lots of heat and an airhammer.

I've never done it before, but I've heard several people who had this problem use a pitman arm puller, you can get a loaner from autozone.
