I have the same thing in my cherokee. Tweeters in the doors up front and an amp under the seat. I have read before that the factory amp only puts out something like 15 watts rms. Its pretty underpowered. It must be rare bc i havnt ever seen another cherokee with the infinity gold option, only grand cherokees.
It might be a little different on yours though. Mine arnt in the tire carrier.

I have the premier sound pkg. in my '91. Which consisted of 4 Jensen's 5.25" speakers. A Kenwood Cassette w/ auto reverse, Am/FM, and two 1" tweeters under the dash. (I thought they where air vents in the lower dash cowl.) Might of sounded good in there day, But by the time I got it. They sounded like tin cans. I replaced everything, But the tweeters I still use.

I like that. Thats a pretty sweet setup from the factory. But what if you need to use the spare?

I just went out and looked and I dont see anything on the outside of it, I will pull it off tomorrow when I get my wheels and tires out of the back of the Jeep and see if there are any numbers on it. You can see the wing nut in the middle, you just back that off and it slided right off. When I bought the Jeep last week that speaker was blown so I replaced it with a cheapo ebay special Pyramid and it sounds pretty good for factory stuff.
