Aged deli meat is best. How do you think salami gets so tasty?

 

Many many years ago i went fishing with a friend from work. He took a tub of chicken livers as bait. Didnt catch much, but had fun. We call it a night and clean up. He puts the livers behind the seat with his tackle and rods and off we go. A week later, of not driving it, it reeks of death. He goes for the tackle box and thats when he found it. The tub of chicken livers, cooking in the summer heat. Lid popped. He forgot they were even there. It was bad. Beyond rancid. Eye watering. That was not an easy smell to get rid of.
